Camp Supervisor Message

Dear Families, Friends, and Supporters,

As we prepare for the 2026 season at the Helen Diller Home for Blind Children, I am filled with immense gratitude and excitement. This summer marks my 17th year as part of this incredible organization, and each year, I am reminded of the profound impact our camp has on the lives of our campers.

Located in the heart of Avalon, NJ, our camp welcomes blind and low-vision children ages 7-20, providing them with an unforgettable summer filled with adventure, independence, and lifelong friendships. Through our dedicated staff, enriching activities, and the unwavering support of our donors, we create an environment where our campers can thrive, explore, and grow.

Beyond the summer experience, we are proud to continue our annual alumni scholarship, supporting former campers as they pursue their dreams beyond our shores. This initiative is just one of the many ways we remain committed to our campers long after their summers with us.

To our families, thank you for entrusting us with your children and allowing us to be part of their journey. To our generous donors, your support makes all of this possible—your contributions provide life-changing opportunities for so many.

Lily Corrigan – Director

Hi! My name is Lily and this will be my third summer working at the Diller Home! The past two summers I spent at Diller I was a boys counselor and this upcoming summer I am super excited to take the a new position and be Director! Some of my favorite activities at Diller include beach days, ice cream nights, and the fireworks on the 4th of July! In 2021, I graduated from Chestnut Hill College with a bachelors degree in Special Education/Elementary Education where I played lacrosse as well! I am currently a Special Education teacher and currently teaching Elementary/Middle School Life Skills/Autistic Support. During my free time I love running and CrossFit, going to the beach, and spending time with friends and family! I’m super excited for this summer and I can’t wait to see all of the campers and counselors for an another unforgettable summer!
